Hey there! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little more about me!

I’ve been a dietitian for more than ten years, helping people optimize their nutrition for overall health, as well as for specific medical conditions. I’ve spent a lot of my career working in the hospital setting, working with people during a very vulnerable time for their health. 

Over the years I’ve developed a passion for helping people with diabetes. There is so much potential for people with diabetes to take back control of their health and even achieve remission from the disease, but it can be a hard fight. Through my career in healthcare, I’ve come to realize that most hospitals and clinics are not well equipped to fully support people with diabetes on their health journey. 

Thus, Reality Based Nutrition was born via my desire to provide more direct support and help people achieve optimal health with nutrition and lifestyle. 

My personal health journey, paired with my knowledge and expertise in nutrition, has led me down the road of modern homesteading. I try to grow and raise as much food as I can on my property in the Northern California mountains. I am a firm believer in slow food and love spending time in the garden and kitchen.
